Abbey museum - description and openig times

Description

The Abbey Museum which is situated in the vaulted cellars of the abbatial palace of 1727 and displays facsimiles of the most beautiful manuscripts created by the scriptorium of Echternach. It also offers a survey of the life and work of St Willibrord. The exquisite beauty of the rooms as well as the fine quality of the exhibits and of the audiovisual shows make each visit of the Abbey Museum a memorable experience.

Opening Times

As part of the measures taken against the spread of the coronavirus, the Abbey museum will remain closed until further notice.
The Museum ist open from the Palm-Sunday to the All-Saints day.
April, May, October: from 10 to 12 a. m. and 2 to 5 p. m.
June, September: from 10 to 12 a. m. and 2 to 5 p. m.
July, August: from 10 a. m. to 5 p. m.

Admission fees

- Adults: 3 Euro
- Children: free
- Groups (of over 10 persons) 1,50 Euro/person
- OAPs (over 60 years) 1,50 Euro

The entry of the museum is in the main courtyard next to the basilica of St Willibrord
